The United States (US) government will ensure the disbursement of US$100 million to support families displaced as a result of terrorist attacks in Cabo Delgado.
According to Radio Mozambique, the announcement was made on Monday, June 6, in Nampula, by the US ambassador to Mozambique, Peter Wrroman, after a meeting with the secretary of state of that province, Mety Gondola.
The American diplomat also recalled the emergency support his country had already provided in the wake of Tropical Cyclone Gombe.
Visabeira Group Reaches Over One Million Euros in Turnover in 2021
In 2021, despite the strong constraints still felt due to the covid-19 pandemic, Visabeira Group had strong growth in its national and international activities, reinforcing its trajectory of sustained growth in the main business areas.
According to a shared statement, the Group reached the historic milestone of €1171 million in consolidated turnover, an increase of €211 million compared to 2020, translating into a growth of 21.9%.
“EBITDA reached €183 million, up 17.8% on the previous year and operating income exceeded €100 million. Net income was €37.9 million, representing a 72% increase over the 2020 financial year,” the company points out.
In foreign markets, Grupo Visabeira maintains as its main strategy the growth of its ‘core’ activities, which concern the provision of telecommunications and energy network engineering services for the main European and North American operators, strengthening its position in these markets where, in 2021, they represented 72.6% of the Group’s turnover.
