NEW DEHLI – India has breached 300, 000 Covid-19 deaths to date, ENN reports.
According to a report released by the Federal Health Ministry this week, a total of 303,720 people had succumbed to the pandemic in India. This makes India the 3rd country in the world to surpass 300,000 casualties. Whilst it took over a year for India to reach 200,000 Covid-19 deaths, it took just 26 days for the country to record an additional 100,000 Covid-19 fatalities.
However, the number of daily active cases is decreasing following a number of government interventions to contain the spread of the pandemic. To date, almost 24 million people have been cured from Covid-19 in India.
